About a Project

Food & Drinks is a mobile application developed for a nationwide restaurant chain to enhance customer engagement and streamline the food ordering experience. The app offers users a visually rich and intuitive interface to browse the menu, discover seasonal offers, and participate in the brand’s loyalty program β€” all via their smartphone. It integrates geolocation, multichannel notifications (push, email, SMS), and QR code scanning for seamless in-store and digital interaction.

Project Idea

The client's vision was to create a modern, scalable food-ordering solution that would:

  • Provide a full digital menu with intuitive navigation
  • Support loyalty point tracking and personalized offers
  • Enable seasonal promotions and campaign updates
  • Integrate QR functionality for in-store engagement
  • Deliver timely notifications via multiple channels

The goal was to increase customer retention and simplify the user journey from discovery to purchase.

Implementation

After initial planning and research, we moved through the following development stages:

The development phase involved:

  • UX Design: Created a clean, visual interface focused on menu accessibility and promotion visibility
  • Agile Development: Worked in two-week sprints, delivering incremental features with regular client feedback
  • Integration: Connected the app with the client’s internal CRM and loyalty platforms
  • Testing & Optimization: Performed functional, UI, and load testing across multiple devices and OS versions
  • Release: Finalized deployment to production environments, with real-time analytics via Firebase
